Join the Fine Arts Council to attend our upcoming events, access our publications (including our monthly newsletter, research journal, and resources) and more!

Active Members
All active members of the ATA may register for a single no-charge membership in the council of their choice through the Association website. These memberships renew automatically until the members change their no-charge membership to a different council. In addition to these no-charge memberships, active members may purchase memberships in additional councils for a cost of $20-40. These paid memberships expire after one year.

Student Members
All student members may register for no-charge memberships in as many councils as they like through the Association website. These memberships will renew automatically provided the members renew their student local membership and their Association online account each year. ​If you're a student member of the ATA, you can sign-up or renew your council memberships here.

Associate Members
Teachers who do not work at public, separate or Francophone school boards in Alberta are not eligible for active membership in the ATA. These teachers, as well as many of types of individual (as listed in ATA bylaw 4) may become associate members. Once an associate member has paid the required annual membership fee to the ATA, they may purchase annual council memberships for a cost of $20-40. Retired & Life Members
Retired teachers (including those who become life members of the ATA after 20 years of teaching) must purchase annual council memberships for a cost of $20-40. E-mail pd@ata.ab.ca or call 1-800-232-7208 and ask to speak to someone in Professional Development for more information.
Non-Members
Although the following individuals and organizations are not able to be members of the ATA or specialist councils, they may register for an annual subscription to receive printed and/or electronic copies of council publications:

Libraries, post-secondary institutions and member organizations of the Canadian Teachers’ Federation may subscribe at no charge.

Other non-members and organizations may subscribe for the annual fee established by each council
Subscribing to a council’s publications does not entitle an individual or organization to attend council events.
